The Clearing:

A Rest & Reset Retreat

Hosted at NAMAN RETREAT & BEACH RESORT

ABOUT THE RETREAT

This isn't a typical retreat. There's no packed schedule, no pressure to arrive with a goal, no expectation that you'll leave transformed in some prescribed way.

What The Clearing offers is something most of us rarely experience: genuinely held, unstructured time — in an environment designed to support your nervous system, not stimulate it further.

Set against the ocean, mountains, and quiet cafés of Da Nang, Vietnam, this five-night retreat is designed for people who are accustomed to carrying a lot. People who are good at functioning. People who haven't had real stillness in a long time.

You will have room to think. Room to breathe. Room to notice what's been underneath the noise. And when you're ready, guided reflection sessions and small-group conversation to help you integrate what surfaces.

Da Nang offers something rare: affordable luxury, natural beauty, and a slower pace of life that becomes part of the experience itself. The culture, the coffee, the coastline — they're not backdrop. They're medicine.

You Need More Than a Vacation | The Clearing Rest & Reset Retreat Da Nang, Vietnam 2027

A gentle pause from the pace of everyday life. The Clearing in Da Nang is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and return to yourself—through guided experiences, restorative space, and time to simply be.

Set Intentions to Rest & Reset

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.

WHO IS THIS FOR

You carry a lot. This is for you.

  • You feel mentally "on" most of the time — even when you're technically off. Rest doesn't come easily, and you're not entirely sure when it did.

  • You carry responsibility for others — professionally, personally, or both — and you're skilled at it. What you're less skilled at is putting it down.

  • You haven't had real space in a while. Not "a weekend off" space. Real, uninterrupted, quiet space where nothing is required of you.

  • You're not in crisis. You're not broken. You're just overdue for a genuine reset — and you're ready to invest in one intentionally.

  • You're curious about Vietnam — the culture, the pace, the beauty — and the idea of doing something meaningful while experiencing it feels right.

  • You want to be in a small group — not a crowd. You value depth over activity, and presence over performance.

This retreat is not psychotherapy and does not replace mental health care or treatment.

Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.

Tentative Schedule

  • You're Here. That's Enough.

Your retreat begins the moment you land. A private transfer from Da Nang International Airport brings you directly to Naman Retreat, where your villa is already waiting — cool, quiet, and entirely yours. There is nothing on the agenda today except arriving. Unpack slowly. Walk to the water. Sit by your private pool and let the sound of the ocean do what it does. The distance between your everyday life and this place will start to register on its own — you don't have to rush it along. As the sun sets, the group gathers on the beach for a welcome dinner organized by Naman Retreat. The table is dressed, the ocean is close, and everyone arrives in all white — your first shared moment, and your first real exhale. This evening isn't programmed. It's simply the beginning.

Included: Private Transfer, Beach Welcome Dinner (All White Attire)

  • Beginning to Slow Down.

The day opens gently, the way every day here will — with Tonya Walton leading the group through a morning stretch on the beach as the sun comes up over the South China Sea. It is not a workout. It is a way of arriving in your body before the day begins, and it makes a difference you'll feel by the third morning. Breakfast follows at your villa, unhurried, with no place to be. The first group session of the retreat gathers everyone together to orient — not with an agenda full of rules, but with a simple question: What did you bring with you that you're ready to set down? The afternoon belongs to you entirely — sleep, journal, float in your private pool, or simply sit outside and do nothing at all - that’s productivity. Later, your daily fifty-minute massage draws you back into your body in the quietest possible way. The evening ends with a gentle guided reflection — an invitation to begin noticing what's been living underneath the noise of your regular life.

Included: Morning Beach Stretch, Breakfast. Opening Group Session, 50-minute Massage

  • Stillness Has a Flavor Here.

After morning stretch on the beach and breakfast at your villa, the group ventures out for one of the retreat's signature experiences — “Coffee & Clarity”. Vietnamese coffee culture is not incidental to this retreat; it is woven into the fabric of it. The way coffee is made here — slow, deliberate, dripped through a small metal filter into a glass of sweetened condensed milk — is itself a meditation on patience and presence. Seated together over our cups, we move into a guided reflection that uses the ritual of the coffee as an entry point: What does it mean to wait for something without rushing it? The afternoon is unstructured — some guests choose to explore the ancient streets of Hoi An, just a short drive away, while others stay close to the villa and rest. Your daily massage is waiting whenever you're ready. As evening falls, the group gathers for a walk to the Dragon Bridge, where the lights come up over the Han River and conversation flows easily in the open air — no agenda, just presence.

Included: Morning Beach Stretch, Coffee & Clarity Experience, 50-minute Massage, Dragon Bridge Evening Walk

  • Light in Both Senses of the Word.

By Day Four, something has usually shifted. The pace has slowed enough that you begin to hear yourself again — and that's precisely when the deeper work becomes possible. After morning stretch and breakfast, the group gathers for a workshop centered on one honest question: What does rest actually look like in your real life — not here, but at home? This isn't about leaving with a color-coded schedule. It's about understanding what sustainable rest requires of you specifically, and what has been quietly working against it. Your massage follows in the afternoon, and then the evening brings one of the retreat's most beautiful moments — a lantern-making workshop at the resort. Each guest crafts their own lantern by hand, a Vietnamese tradition that carries its own quiet symbolism. You make something with your hands, you give it your breath, and for a moment you remember that creation doesn't have to be efficient to be meaningful. The evening is yours after that — dinner at whatever pace feels right.

Included: Morning Beach Stretch, Sustainable Rest Workshop, 50-minute Massage, Lantern-Making Workshop

  • Standing Still in a Beautiful Place.

The final full day begins as the others have — on the beach with Tonya, in the early morning quiet, moving gently and deliberately before the world wakes up. After breakfast, the group makes its way to Son Tra Peninsula to visit the grounds surrounding the Lady Buddha statue — one of the most visually stunning landmarks in all of Vietnam. Standing nearly 70 meters tall and overlooking the East Sea, the statue is simply breathtaking in scale, and the surrounding grounds are immaculately kept, quiet, and unlike anywhere else in Da Nang. This is not a worship experience. It is a sightseeing and reflection excursion — an opportunity to stand somewhere extraordinarily beautiful, to be moved by what human hands and intention can create, and to let the stillness of the surroundings do what stillness does. Each guest is given unhurried time to wander the grounds independently, take in the views of the coastline and the mountains, and sit with whatever has been surfacing throughout the week. There is no script for this time — only space. A brief, optional share on the ride back invites anyone who wants to voice something from their time there — a word, a thought, an image that stayed with them. Your daily massage follows in the afternoon. As the sun begins to lower, the group gathers one last time for a farewell gathering — local culture cuisine, warm company, and the particular tenderness that comes at the end of something real.

Included: Morning Beach Stretch, Lady Buddha Excursion, 50-minute Massage, Farewell Dinner

  • You Carry This With You Now.

There is no rush on the last morning. Check out at your own pace, take one more look at the water, and let Da Nang settle into you before you go. A private transfer will bring you to Da Nang International Airport according to your flight schedule — the same care you arrived with, extended all the way to the door. What you take home from The Clearing won't fit in your suitcase. It's the memory of what it felt like to be still. The knowledge that rest is something you can choose, not something you have to earn. And the quiet confidence that comes from having given yourself something real. Travel safely. We'll be in touch.

Included: Private Airport Transfer Check-Out at Your Own Pace

The people holding the space.

A licensed mental health professional serving clients navigating the weight of high-functioning life, Doc brings warmth, clarity, and clinical grounding to everything she creates. Having spent years helping others find their footing, she designed The Clearing as the kind of experience she wishes more people had access to — one built not on doing, but on being.
Having spent meaningful time living in Da Nang, she brings more than a curated itinerary to this experience — she brings genuine familiarity with the rhythms, the culture, and the hidden corners of a city that rewards those who slow down enough to notice it. The Clearing was not planned from a distance. It was built from the inside out, by someone who has walked these streets, sat in these coffee shops, and felt firsthand what this place does to a nervous system that finally has permission to rest.

Six spots.
This is yours to claim.

There are six spots. That's not a marketing tactic — it's the actual number that makes this experience what it is. Small enough that you're known. Small enough that the group becomes something real.

The next step isn't filling out a long form — it's a short conversation. Not an interview, not a pitch. Just a chance to talk through what you're looking for and confirm this retreat is genuinely a good fit for where you are right now.

If it is, we'll walk through the next steps together — including your deposit and payment plan. If it isn't, I'll be honest with you about it.

Use the form to share a little about yourself and what's drawing you here. I'll be in touch within 48 hours to schedule a call.

Your information is kept private and will only be used to follow up with you about this retreat. You will not be added to any mailing list without permission.
